TIRED + EXHAUSTED + EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN

 Hello World!

          So the past few days have been rainy, wet, and tiring.  I have been doing alot of sleep catch up though which is a good thing, but I have been tired. 

SATURDAY

I drove to up to Davis, CA on Saturday with my friends Ariel,Raymond,Jonathan, and Krista for an event called Rooted Movement at UCDavis where I did a guest appearance for the conference.  It was really fun singing (like always) and I got the chance to perform a spontaneous performance with my friend, the great leejay.  It was a long awaited collaboration between us that we felt was a cursed opportunity lol, because the past few years that I have been invited for shows at UCDavis, I was either out of town for another show or busy doing something else.  You can watch our collabo right here:

During our stay in Davis, we hung out with Nessa whom I haven't seen in a very long time.  It was fun seein her again but she kept making fun of me and my driving   But o well, I guess I just gotta keep driving to gain more experience. 

SUNDAY

Sunday was a really fun day. Got the chance to go to church and worship and praise God! Which is always a beautiful privilege.  There are alot of times that I feel unworthy of His love because of things that have happened or things that I have let through in my life.  But whenever I go to church or spend some quiet time with Him, I realize that it is His love and mercy that call me back to the cross over and over again and I lay down everything right then and there and He renews me.  Whenever I go to church, I leave everything aside; my pains and struggles and tiredness and just worship Him in spirit and in truth. Its always a great thing to know that when we are weak, He is strong.  It says in the bible in 2 Corinthians 12:10 that when I am weak, He is strong.  That's why I/we have to learn to depend on Him during our tough times. 

Sunday was also my grandma's 2 year death anniversary.  A bunch of our family after church, went to the cemetary to just think and just remember our grandma's life.  I wrote a song for her the day of her funeral(Life Celebration) 2 years ago when she died.  The song is called "Well Done" and you can hear a not-so-good version of it on youtube @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0UPmtbCezs or you can go to myspace, www.simply-passion.com where you can hear the snippet of the full version. 

MONDAY

Today was a very wet,yucky, and tiring day.  I woke up around 11ish and then around 1ish I went downtown to buy a new pair of jeans as well as look around.  Found these really cool pair of Seven jeans in bloomingdales.  I was about to get the "A" pocket design but since the ones I already own have an A pocket, I decided to get the standard. I also picked up a few dress shirts at H&M which I might need for certain occasions since I'm a t-shirt, jeans, sneaks kinda guy, I thought I'd get some more casual semi-formal type stuff.  Ehh i don't know. I also went to HUF to check out the new arrivals for sneakers, hats, and shirts.  It was really really really pouring outside! AND i stepped on a big pile of poop in the rain!! lol. Geez!  Who poops in the middle of the street?! lol.  I guess thats San Francisco for ya lol. AND i was wearin my tokyo taxicabs?! geez. lol luckily it was raining, I just put my shoe over a drain where there was rushing water and it cleaned the bottom of my shoe.  no more poopy on me :). 

After shopping, I went to a Thai restaurant to get some Thai curry and rice and have some Thai iced tea! It was yum and a very good price. 

After leaving downtown, I went straight to school where I studied in the library for a good 4 hours.  I kept hearing someone humming a song in a high pitched voice the whole time and I was like what the freak?! lol.  And then I decided to look to see whos causing all the racket, and It was some dude! haha that made me laugh but it made me irritated as well cuz its a library ya kno?.  haha but I guess I can get annoying sometimes being a singer and all.  The best part of today tho was NOT the shopping; but HEROES!!!!!!!!!! on NBC!YEE YEE YEE! It was soooooooo intense! I was screaming and grabbing my friends pillow and Biting my nails cuz I was soooo scared because of what was happening on this episode. 

OK, so I wanted to talk about something on Heroes.  Whoever watches it, recognize this girl?

That's Claire Bennett (her real name is Hayden Panettiere) and Mr. Benett on the show Heroes (MY FAVORITE SHOW IN THE WORLD).  OK I admit it, I think that Claire is really hot and gorgeous! And is one of the reasons why I watch this show lol.  But to tell you the truth, I feel guilty sometimes thinking she's hot because of this one thing:

That's her in Remember the Titans back in 2000!  haha.  Isn't it kinda weird how that movie is recent and shes a super young buck in Remember the Titans and then now shes in Heroes and I think shes a hottie?! hahaha now everyones gonna say "Passion likes little girls!" lol hahaa.

Ok so that was my life the past 3 days. haha pretty random ey?  Well, I'll catch ya on the flipside. I'm gonna finish my essay tonight. Thats why they call me THE LAST MINUTE MAN!

GIVING THIS ANOTHER TRY

       I haven't been on xanga.com in thee longest time. Almost a whole year! 

So I don't know HOW it popped into mind, but I thought I'd check out my old xanga site.  Everything was as it was just as I left it back in April 2006.  I decided to go look at a bunch of my subscribed peoples and friends and I realized that  over 90% of these xanga sites aren't active and have been abandoned. 

I decided to go to my ex-girlfriend's xanga page to see if she still wrote on hers; turns out that she stopped writing on it back in 2005.  Right before I was about to X out of her page, I decided to look at her old posts to see if there was any old blogs that had anything to do with her and I.  Turns out, it doesn't go that far down. I was like "awww mayun" but its ok lol. I just thought that would be so interesting and funny to read ya kno?

Anyway, SOOOOOOOO many things have happened this past year! I can't even start to count how many golden and beautiful opportunities God has given me.  It seems as if His blessing just pours out in front of me! I have gotten the chance to go all over the United States touring, singing, ministering, and making alot of new friends.  I have also gotten so much better in my producing, been putting out alot of songs, I NOW have an EP album out only sold at my concerts and shows, and have developed fan bases all over the world. Got to work with alot of big names in the industry like Slim from 112, Infinity (Producer of "Take Me As I Am" by Mary J. Blige and producer of "Daydreamin'" by Lupe Fiasco), Golden Eye of the Underdoggs. I've also had the privilege of sharing the stage with passionate and talented artists like Ernie Halter, Bobby Valentino, Mos Def, Zion I, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Goapele, Colbie Caillat,  and much much more! 

I have been recently asked back in 2006 to go to London to be on the Che'nelle (r&b artist from Australia who is with Virgin Records) tour in the UK region! :)  I also am working with a producer named Manon Dave from the UK that does additional music for the hit show, HEROES on NBC at 9pm. I will be working on the future episodes of Heroes with him. EXCITING!!!!! Someone flies, someone dies!

Aside from the major labels that have been trying to get me in the past, Matthew Knowles (Beyonce's Dad) started a new gospel label called SPIRIT RISING Music and saw me singing at the Urban Soul Cafe concert in BBKING's Nashville, TN.  Turns out that he thinks I have alot of potential and asked the director and Radio DJ of Nashville Radio to keep an eye on me to possibly be on Mr. Knowles label! :) (BTW, Angel from Trinitee 5:7 is soooooo hot!)

I don't wanna go blabbering on about the things that has been happening in my music career. So I'll continue later! Besides, its really late and I'm really sleepy!

Hi World!

Just wanted to write on my xanga before I fly out later today to Lancaster, CA.  If you're a person of faith in God, keep me in your prayers that I will have safe travel, good performance, and a good time.  If you're not a person of faith, have faith for a while and pray for me lol.
